Although you wouldn’t really guess that from the amazing photo we’ve used here, it’s largely wet and miserable right now. So, stay in, write and get submitting to these places. Once you’ve done that, go out for a kick through the leaves and a good think then carry on writing and submitting.

intothevoidmagazine.com is open to submissions of creative nonfiction for Issue 11 until December 7. Payment is $5 per page of the print magazine and a contributor copy. No theme, no reading fees.

Split Rock Review is an online literary journal seeking short creative nonfiction (up to 1,000 words) for Issue 12 (Spring 2019). They want work that explores place, environment, and the intersection of nature and culture. Deadline December 30th.

Volney Road Review is open to submissions of creative nonfiction up to 3,500 words for VRR volume 1, issue 2. Deadline February 1st.

The Flexible Persona a literary magazine based in Troy, NY, seeks creative nonfiction for both its online publication and its Spring 2019 print issue.
